Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal guidance and support to Bacardo's operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and safeguarding Bacardo's interests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cryptocurrency law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation, with a proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to Bacardo's leadership team and stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, intellectual property, data protection, employment law, and corporate governance.

• Monitor and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting Bacardo's operations, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and proactively addressing legal risks and challenges.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, service agreements, and employment contracts.

• Collaborate with external legal counsel and advisors to manage legal proceedings, investigations, and disputes, and represent Bacardo's interests in negotiations, mediations, and other legal matters.

• Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, promote best practices, and mitigate legal risks.

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues, providing guidance and recommendations to Bacardo's leadership team and stakeholders as needed.

• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal matters, ensuring awareness and understanding of legal risks, requirements, and obligations.

• Stay abreast of emerging legal and regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency and fintech industries, and make recommendations to leadership to ensure Bacardo remains compliant and competitive in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction(s) required.

• 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on cryptocurrency law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation; in-house experience at a cryptocurrency company or fintech startup preferred.

• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency laws and regulations, including securities regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and data protection laws.

• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify legal issues, assess risks, and develop practical solutions and recommendations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to legal issues and challenges.

• Proficiency in legal research and writing, with the ability to analyze legal issues and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
